Manufacturing Welding Supervisor

Job Purpose

As a Welding Supervisor, you will oversee welding operations within a manufacturing environment. You will ensure safety and quality of welding work, schedule and direct work activities, and manage a team of welders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee welding activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements
  • Supervise and manage a team of welders, providing guidance and feedback as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate welding work based on project timelines and demands
  • Perform quality control checks on welding work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
  • Monitor inventory of welding consumables and equipment, and order replacements when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities, and produce reports as needed

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • 3 years of experience as a Welding Supervisor or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Certification in welding or related field preferred

Salary Range (annual): $80,000 - $99,000. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
