Job Title
Under the general guidance of the Bar Manager, perform all duties and provide timely, courteous service with guest satisfaction as the primary goal. He/she is responsible for promotion of specials and up selling.
Duties & Functions:
- Provide friendly, courteous and professional service to all internal and external customers/guests, at all times
- Retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items
- Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations
- Maintain and ensures the overall cleanliness of assigned station and the establishment
- Ensure that all procedures concerning bar tabs and the transfer of tables are met
- Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Up-sell food and beverage menu items
- Check identification for proof of age when required
- Monitor guest's drinks and anticipate guest's needs
- Provide food service as appropriate
Specific Job Knowledge & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
- Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
Physical Abilities:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Pay Range: $20.57 per hour. Pay rate outlined follows contract requirement.
