Research Scientist – AI Agents & LLMs

We're working with a well-funded Series C startup that's building cutting‑edge AI‑driven avatar technology — creating the next generation of avatars that move beyond text‑based interactions. These avatars are powered by advanced AI models capable of realistic behavior, emotion, and gesture, redefining how humans connect and communicate with AI.

The company is looking for Research Scientists with deep expertise in large language model (LLM) training and agentic frameworks. You'll join a world‑class team working at the frontier of AI research and embodiment, developing intelligent systems that can reason, learn, and express themselves in human‑like ways.

As a Research Scientist, you'll drive the core research behind next‑generation AI agents — focusing on areas such as model training, reasoning, multimodality, and behavioral intelligence. You'll collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to translate state‑of‑the‑art research into real‑world, production‑ready systems.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong hands‑on experience with LLM training, agentic frameworks, and foundation model development
• Advanced academic background (PhD preferred) from top programs such as Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, Harvard, or similar
• Experience in big tech, AI startups, or AI research labs
• Comfort working in a fast‑moving, product‑focused environment — this role emphasizes applied innovation over publishing
• A creative, mission‑driven mindset and a passion for pushing the boundaries of intelligent systems

Experience Guidelines:

• Senior Level: Typically 1+ years of industry experience for PhDs, or 2+ years for Master's candidates
• Staff Level: Typically 5+ years of industry experience
