Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area. OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
Managing Banquet Operations: Projects supply needs for the department, maintains and applies knowledge of all laws, understands the impact of Banquet operations, adheres to standards, ensures sanitation levels, manages inventories, controls liquor costs, schedules banquet service staff, develops lasting relationships with groups. Leading Banquet Teams: Sets goals, conducts department meetings, applies knowledge of food and wine pairings, acts as a liaison to the kitchen staff, leads shifts. Ensuring and Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Sets a positive example, interacts with guests, responds to guest problems, empowers employees, ensures employees understand expectations, strives to improve service performance, emphasizes guest satisfaction, reviews comment cards. Conducting Human Resources Activities: Communicates and executes emergency procedures, observes service behaviors, provides feedback, monitors progress, participates in development and implementation of corrective action plans, reviews survey results, attends and participates in meetings.
The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $141,000 annually.
