Under general direction, the Associate Engineer performs professional engineering work in the field and office and supervises the work of junior and assistant engineers, technicians, inspectors, surveyors and other related personnel engaged in engineering projects.
1. Three (3) years of verifiable professional engineering experience, of which two (2) years are equivalent to City & County of San Francisco Class 5203 Assistant Engineer or higher.
AND
2. Possession of a current Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California in Electrical Engineering.
Some positions may require a valid driver license.
Some positions may require lifting up to 50 pounds; climbing ladders; working in high places and confined spaces; exposure to various weather conditions and outdoors; bending, sitting, and walking for extended periods and over uneven surfaces. Positions may require schedules that include weekends, holidays, part time, nights, and/or overtime.
