Description:

Culture at Cardinal Education

Collaboration is key to our culture at Cardinal Education, where open communication and diverse perspectives are valued and drive success. We foster innovation and learning through a supportive environment that encourages growth. Our team is passionate about education and creating a dynamic and inclusive workplace.

Job Overview

As an Academic Consultant at Cardinal Education, you will be at the intersection of academic mentorship and strategic development. In this role, you'll work directly with students to provide personalized academic support and standardized test preparation, helping them build confidence, master challenging concepts, and develop critical thinking skills that last a lifetime.

Beyond working with students, you'll take an active role in shaping the business—developing curriculum, building community partnerships, supporting recruitment, and helping refine internal processes. You're part of a passionate and collaborative team dedicated to innovation and excellence in education.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Coaching and Mentorship: Provide one-on-one academic mentorship in various academic subjects and/or standardized exams, guiding students to discover their strengths, reduce stress, and overcome academic challenges. Complete comprehensive training programs to identify and address students' individual strengths and weaknesses.
  • Business Development: Engage in core business functions, including curriculum development, establishing partnerships with educational professionals and local organizations, client relationship management, recruitment initiatives, and contributing to company policies implementation and development.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in multiple high school core subjects, with an emphasis on AP-level sciences as a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and commit to the role for a minimum of one full school year.
  • Experience in successful group work and completing complex projects.
  • Prior tutoring or test prep experience is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree from a nationally accredited university.
  • STEM background highly preferred.
  • A high level of energy and sociability.
  • Exceptional writing ability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of people, including executives, students, and other coaches.
  • Ability to work independently yet dutifully within the company's pedagogy and processes.
  • Apply relentless dedication to delivering results.
  • Drive to help cultivate student thinking so that students become well-rounded and no longer need coaching.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G Suite and familiarity with social networking platforms.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher, and marketing materials is a plus.
  • Competitive starting salary with ample opportunities for growth as you excel in your role.
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus for STEM candidates.
  • Medical insurance reimbursement to support your health and well-being.
  • Two weeks of paid leave, inclusive of sick days, for work-life balance.
  • Performance-based bonuses to reward your achievements.
  • Relocation and commuter benefits for added convenience.
  • Complimentary lunches provided regularly.
  • Engaging company and team-building events that celebrate success and collaboration.
