Your Impact
As a Commissioning Authority, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality commissioning services for green buildings and mission-critical facilities. You'll collaborate with owners, design teams, contractors, and operators from early design through occupancy and beyond. The team specializes in:
- LEED and Title 24 commissioning
- Retro-commissioning and ongoing commissioning
- Energy studies and measurement & verification
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field functional testing and system observations
- Develop and manage pre-functional and functional checklists
- Lead commissioning meetings and coordinate across stakeholders
- Document test results and maintain issue resolution logs
- Prepare commissioning reports and support project management
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards
- Promote safety and report health concerns
- Pursue ongoing professional development
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- PE license or certifications in Commissioning, Energy Management, or TAB (preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, controls, and instrumentation
- Project management skills including scheduling and budgeting
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work on-site for extended periods and lift/carry loads over 20 lbs
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
Preferred:
- Experience with commissioning software or ongoing commissioning tools
- Background in mechanical, electrical, or controls engineering
- Experience in mission-critical and life sciences projects
