Architectural Designer (3-5 Years Experience)

Studio BANAA is seeking a creative and technically capable Architectural Designer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience—ideally in commercial interiors or hospitality-focused work. The role is full‑time and requires candidates to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area due to local project needs, site visits, and consultant coordination.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an architectural firm, preferably with a focus on hospitality or commercial interiors
• Masters Degree from an accredited university is required
• Proficiency in Revit and SketchUp is required
• Ability to produce drawing sets independently and collaborate with a small team
• Strong hand sketching ability; experience with digital sketching (e.g., on iPad) is a plus
• Comfortable working independently and communicating effectively in a remote setting

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of project development, from conceptual design and space planning through construction documentation and permitting
• Work directly with clients, consultants, and contractors
• Participate in internal design reviews and brainstorming sessions
• Help develop thoughtful, well‑detailed designs for spaces that are both beautiful and functional
