Alameda Municipal Power (AMP), California's oldest community-owned electric utility and proudly 100% clean powered, is seeking an Electrical Equipment Superintendent to lead critical operations that ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable energy delivery to the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of AMP's electrical equipment, substations, and metering systems.
• Direct high-voltage switching (up to 115kV) and SCADA operations.
• Manage skilled field crews; drive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in power distribution, SCADA systems, and regulatory standards such as Cal OSHA, NERC, and NFPA 70E.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; professional certifications (PE, Certified Substation Technician, or Journey-Level Lineman/Electrician) are highly desirable.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in electric utility operations, including supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation

The annual salary range is $188,695 – $229,360, plus an attractive benefits package.
