About the Role

A leading AI research initiative is seeking Mathematics PhD graduates and candidates from top-tier programs to contribute to a frontier project aimed at strengthening AI reasoning and theorem‑proving capabilities.

You'll apply your graduate‑level mathematical expertise to evaluate, solve, and refine complex proofs and reasoning chains — directly shaping the next generation of AI systems capable of advanced symbolic and abstract thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Solve and analyze graduate‑level mathematics problems across diverse domains.
• Evaluate and verify AI‑generated proofs and derivations for correctness, logical structure, and rigor.
• Identify conceptual or methodological gaps in reasoning and provide structured feedback.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to advance model precision in mathematical logic.

Ideal Qualifications

• Recent PhD graduate in Mathematics (within the past 4 years) or a current PhD candidate at least 3 years into the program.
• Enrolled in or graduated from a top 30 mathematics program.
• Active research involvement or academic publication record (preferred).
• Deep expertise in advanced problem‑solving, theorem formulation, and proof validation.
• Exceptional written communication and ability to clearly explain complex reasoning.

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate (rolling onboarding)
• Duration: 5–6 weeks (potential for extension)
• Commitment: Flexible and project‑based (~10–20 hours/week)
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — set your own hours

Compensation & Contract

• Rate: $70–$140 USD/hour (commensurate with background and experience)
• Payments: Weekly via Stripe Connect
