Overview

LABUR is supporting a global technology client through a strategic data infrastructure initiative aimed at optimizing the ingestion, storage, and delivery of partner data across their platform. This engagement centers on building scalable backend features and robust data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to improve system performance and reliability. A Senior Java/Go Developer will contribute directly to the modernization of the platform's data architecture by developing new features, resolving performance issues, and ensuring seamless data operations across structured and unstructured sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend features to support platform partner integrations.
• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Monitor system health and resolve functional and performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data integrity and platform stability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 4+ years of experience with Go, Java, or other strongly typed languages.
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying APIs and data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of database fundamentals and SQL.
• Proven experience building cloud-native applications, preferably on GCP.
• Proficiency with GitHub for collaborative development.
• Strong technical communication skills.
• Experience with GCP services such as Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, and Cloud Run.
• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Compensation

$70 - $76 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.
