As a key member of our team, you'll design innovative solutions that will shape the future of electric mobility, helping Amazon build the world's largest and most advanced EV charging network.

*Travel required approximately every 3 weeks or 20-25% of the time.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive technical strategies for EV charging controller systems and related product development
  • Define and implement connectivity standards for charging infrastructure
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing charging system architectures to identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Lead multi-disciplinary technology teams and facilitate cross-functional communication
  • Design technical documentation and present complex architectural solutions to senior management

Your day will be a dynamic blend of technical exploration and collaborative problem-solving. You'll dive deep into hardware specifications, test communication protocols, engage with cross-functional teams, and develop strategic technical roadmaps that drive our EV charging infrastructure forward.

Our Charging and Infrastructure Engineering team is at the forefront of developing solutions that will dramatically reduce carbon emissions and create a more sustainable future for transportation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science, business administration or a related field, or experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience coordinating between technical teams, peers and business stakeholders
  • Experience communicating with customers, technical, regulatory, business teams, and management to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, or experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Understanding of systems engineering tools and best practices, and experience tailoring the processes to help new product development teams go fast

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Industrial control systems, both hardware and software
  • Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
  • Experience managing 3P product development
  • Experience developing and managing cellular products
