Job Summary

Crucial member of the Infrastructure Solutions Team, providing engineering sales and customer‑facing technical support for data‑center and mission‑critical solutions. The role primarily handles pre‑sales design, development, and proposal responses, with secondary responsibilities from purchase order to delivery and startup. Supports Edge to Hyperscale and High‑Performance Compute initiatives using Vertiv's prefab modular solutions for power, cooling, and white‑space fit‑outs.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Infrastructure Solutions Line of Business.
  • Advise customers on Vertiv solution products.
  • Solve customer business needs leveraging Vertiv portfolio.
  • Read and understand RFP tender documents.
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical disciplines (HVAC, electrical, controls, fire protection).
  • Provide technical project coordination with customers and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Deployment, Startup, and Commissioning teams.
  • Read customer specifications (e.g., MasterSpec) and apply them to data‑center design.
  • Interpret customer requirements in proposed solutions.
  • Coordinate globally with counterparts in other regions while maintaining regional responsibility.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.

Requirements and Experience

  • Proficient in data‑center design and impacts of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and BMS disciplines.
  • Understanding of relevant architectural and structural codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of AIA project phases for design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Basic drafting and sketch capabilities (Revit experience preferred).
  • Solution‑based thinking incorporating mechanical and electrical components into end‑customer deployments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • Ability to multitask and self‑motivate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and related tools.

Years of Experience

5–7 years (preferred). 7–10 years, 10–15 years, and 15+ years are also considered based on fit.

Travel Requirements

10–25% travel for customer engagements, conferences, and training.
