Overview

Hilton San Francisco Union Square is seeking a Friendly and approachable Guest Service Agent who is well organized, proactive, and committed to providing excellent guest experiences. Located in downtown San Francisco, the hotel offers convenient access to transportation and on-shift meal benefits for team members.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information, confirming guest details and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and guiding guests to their rooms (or arranging bell service).
• Assist guests with check-out, including ensuring accurate room and service accounting, handling payments via the point-of-sale system, processing credit/debit cards and other forms of payment, and managing currency exchange and gift certificates.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information (rooms, rates, packages, promotions, local area) and answer guest questions.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner; field complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
• Receive, input, retrieve, and relay messages to guests.

What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will possess:

• The ability to work a full shift (8 hours) with or without reasonable accommodations (standing/walking).
• The ability to bend, stoop, walk, and lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes AM, PM, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively with English-speaking guests.
• A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
