Description:

Our client, a well-known real estate agency, is seeking a Market Research Analyst to support the Research Department during a leave of absence. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational success of a high-performing research team on a six-month assignment. The Market Research Analyst will report directly to the SVP/Chief Research Officer and will utilize strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, to manage and interpret large volumes of data. The ideal candidate comes from an analytical background or has administrative experience with a strong interest in analytics. This person will succeed if they take initiative, demonstrate curiosity, and show an eagerness to learn.


**Please note this is a hybrid, 6-month contract role based in San Francisco, CA. Pay will be $30-$40/hr.**


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and analyze large sets of economic, demographic, and real estate data.
  • Assist in maintaining existing statistical models.
  • Create and update PowerPoint presentations and other visual materials.
  • Draft analytical summaries and economic briefings.
  • Contribute to editing, reporting, and other ad hoc research projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, statistics, or a related field required.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience; prior experience in real estate or a related industry preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, arithmetic formulas) and proficiency in Publisher and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and statistical understanding.
  • Familiarity with economics, GIS, or real estate data sources/vendors is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
