Okta's Microservices Enablement team is responsible for building the foundation that powers Okta's evolution from a monolithic architecture to a scalable, resilient microservices ecosystem. We design and develop frameworks, services, and infrastructure that enable product teams to build, deploy, and operate microservices efficiently and safely.
Senior Software Engineer OpportunityOur scope includes core platform capabilities such as service bootstrapping frameworks, observability and tracing, inter-service communication (gRPC and eventing), libraries for metrics, rate limiting, and resilience, as well as service lifecycle tooling and governance. We're cloud-native by design, where scalability, reliability, and developer experience are first-class citizens. We partner closely with product and infrastructure teams to ensure that new services are secure, observable, cost-efficient, and easy to operate - from local development through global production scale. What You'll Be DoingBelow is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between $159,000—$239,000 USD.
