This position pays: $80 -$ 85 hourly

Location: Onsite Foster City, CA

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Studio Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the future of client autonomous vehicle design. As a Senior Studio Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with our design and engineering teams to transform creative concepts into functional designs and production-ready vehicles. You will be an integral part of the design process, ensuring that our vehicles not only look stunning but also meet the highest standards of safety, performance and functionality.


What you will be doing:


  • Enable Studio Designs with balanced engineering solutions
  • Create/Balance Engineering Criteria to support the Studio Designs
  • Support Modeling activities in the Studio - create model set-ups, model armatures - Interface with Industrial Design, Engineering, and the Digital modeling Groups to ensure criteria and aesthetic compliance.
  • Support/lead technical reviews, organize meetings as required to resolve daily working issues. - Represent the studio in any applicable meetings, generating and presenting any necessary documentation.
  • Check surface development to criteria and develop alternative solutions to support the Design Theme - Release criteria compliant surface per Studio & Engineering agreements per program schedule. - Verify and release production intent design/engineering compliant math from surfacing groups - Maintain tracking list pertaining to surface development, Engineering, and Design issues Facilitate Bucks, mock-ups and rapid prototype parts
  • Responsible for status of assigned parts at specific program gates


What you bring:


  • Bachelor of Science Technical Degree (4 Year Degree)
  • 5 years studio experience with min 8 years' experience in a related area of work - Understanding of engineering theory and principles of automotive design - Proficient oral and written communication skills, Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with others - General interest and ability to integrate complex systems
  • Familiarity with general automotive manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated skills in CATIA (V6 preferred)
