Overview
The UCSF Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics seeks an innovative scientist to launch a dynamic research program. The role combines graduate teaching, service, and a collaborative research community at UCSF.
Responsibilities
- Lead a high‑impact research program addressing fundamental questions in modern biology.
- Graduate teaching and curriculum development in biochemistry and related disciplines.
- Service to the department, university, and scientific community.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in mentoring and research.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or related field.
- Demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment and potential for a tenure‑track career.
- Strong potential for collaboration with UCSF investigators and the Mission Bay campus.
- Commitment to mentoring graduate students and postdoctoral trainees.
- Experience or potential for graduate teaching at the university level.
