What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Manage full-cycle U.S. tax compliance for assigned funds and legal entities, including data collection and final return filing
• Review federal and state tax returns and investor K-1s, ensuring oversight and quality assurance across all filings
• Respond to investor tax inquiries with clear and well-written communication
• Collaborate with fund accounting and operations teams on recurring processes and ad-hoc tax-related requests
• Conduct monthly ASC 740 assessments and review PTET tax withholding calculations within tight deadlines

What is Required (Qualifications)

• 4-6 years of experience in hedge fund tax compliance and reporting
• Demonstrated expertise in partnership taxation (Subchapter K) for hedge funds
• Deep understanding of IRC provisions applicable to hedge funds
• Solid experience in preparing and reviewing tax forms, including PFICs and CFCs
• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, tax, or a related field

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Prior experience with Big 4 or top-tier accounting/tax advisory firms in asset management tax
• Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of both onshore (U.S.) and offshore (Cayman) fund structures
• Proactive approach in identifying tax planning opportunities
