Position Overview
- Title: Lecturer
- Salary range: $68,247 – $192,040 (UC academic salary scales; current full‑time salary range)
- Percent time: up to 33% time
- Position duration: Initial appointments one semester to one year
- Review timeline: Summer session courses in April, fall courses in May, spring courses in November; check AP Recruit for specific review dates. Applications after the review date will be considered only if the position has not been filled.

Position Description
The Haas School of Business seeks temporary instructors to teach courses in Management of Organizations, covering topics such as power and politics, organizational behavior, leadership, negotiations, decision making, conflict resolution, group and team dynamics, managing diversity, talent recruitment and retention, finding meaning and engagement in work, and people analytics. The lecturer pool will remain in place for one year.
General Duties

- Assign grades
- Advise students
- Prepare course materials
Qualifications
- Basic qualification: Bachelor degree or equivalent international degree at time of application
- Additional qualification (required at start): Minimum four years of professional practice in a field relevant to the course being taught
- Preferred qualification: Minimum 2 years of experience in leading people, conducting negotiations, coaching groups and teams, managing diversity, or recruiting and retaining talent in a business, government, or not-for-profit organization by start date; and/or a PhD in psychology or sociology by start date. Higher education teaching experience and an advanced degree by start date are preferred.
