Responsibilities

• Act as a hands‑on technical leader: not just writing code, but setting frameworks, architecture, and best practices.
• Own cloud infrastructure (AWS is core; exposure to GPU compute, Docker & Kubernetes too)
• Build bridges across teams, aligning ML, bioinformatics, and software engineering efforts.
• Guide junior engineers and bioinformatics developers while shaping long‑term technical strategy.
• Help transition the company from fragmented pipelines to production‑grade, external‑facing products.
• Influence resourcing and scaling decisions—your input will shape the future of the engineering org.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cloud architecture, especially AWS (EC2, S3, Batch, pipelines).
• Hands‑on coding experience in python plus the seniority to set direction and frameworks.
• Proven exp in complex, data voluminous environments, with a keen interest in Bio/Science (bio/health/AI/ML is a bonus, but not required).
• Familiar with heavy‑duty ML workflows and how compute and data pipelines support them.
• Thrives in a startup setting—fast‑paced, resource‑constrained, but high‑impact.
• Excited by the mission of accelerating drug discovery through AI.
• Exp supporting computationally‑intensive data processing and ML model training.
