Dr. Melanie Molina (Principal Investigator) in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UCSF is seeking a Project Director (PD) to support multiple research projects focused on social risk-informed care for opioid use disorder (OUD) in the emergency department (ED), as well as healthcare utilization among immigrant populations.
Under the direction of the PI, the primary responsibilities will be to serve as PD and manage the implementation of multiple funded and unfunded studies. The PD will monitor the research team's collection of data, tracking and maintaining records, regulatory compliance, publication submissions, and protocol development. The PD will serve as the primary administrator of the projects, with clearly outlined decision-making authority for field operations and with delegated authority on behalf of the PI. The PD will be responsible for providing priority-setting and workflow analysis to assure the scientific and administrative integrity of the projects.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of project management principles. Additionally, it requires the ability to master relevant information technology and administrative systems. Experience and skill in working with marginalized populations, as well as research project management – including adherence to study protocols – are critical components of this job. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and will be committed to team collaboration, problem-solving, and ethical research guidelines. The PD will also provide other research support as needed to the PI.
NOTE: This is a 40% Limited role for 1 year. This is a flexible (Hybrid) role.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $78,900 - $167,300 (Annual Rate).
