Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ's relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client's needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. This position is with a private family office in San Francisco and focuses on managing accounting and financial operations of a diverse investment portfolio.

Location: San Francisco, CA

What You'll Do

  • Manage general ledger activity and ensure accurate, timely recording of transactions across multiple entities and trusts
  • Reconcile brokerage and balance sheet accounts; prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Oversee accounts payable and process monthly distributions
  • Support quarterly tax estimates and annual tax compliance
  • Maintain organized and secure electronic files and documentation

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or related
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills and deep understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 a year
