Assistant Project Accountant – Construction Billing at Rosendin

Role Overview

Assist the Project Accountant in providing financial services to construction projects, including contract review, billings, work-in-place reporting, subcontractor and general condition payments, and cash reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly progress billings.
• Ensure adherence to all contractual billing requirements.
• Update and distribute Productivity Rate tracking spreadsheets weekly.
• Support cash position/projection analysis preparation.
• Assist with periodic audit billings to verify all costs are submitted for payment.
• Help prepare monthly cost-at-completion estimates.
• Participate in monthly cost-at-completion review meetings with Operations and Finance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite or other enterprise-level finance package is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
• Able to work under time pressure and adapt to evolving requirements with a positive attitude.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written); ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle experience is a plus.
• Self‑motivated and proactive.
• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of project management support experience, preferably in a construction environment.

Travel

• Up to 10% travel required.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor work; sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
• Typical noise level is low to medium; may increase at job sites.
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$31.30 – $41.50 hourly. Pay varies based on location, experience, skills, and education.
