Role Description:

Arcadis seeks an Environmental Compliance Field Auditor to join the California High-Speed Rail Project Construction and Management (PCM) team in Selma, CA. The field auditor role centers around field verification and professional understanding of the Construction General Permit (CGP) and stormwater management discipline. This role seeks a highly motivated individual looking to further expand career development/growth with Arcadis. Must be able to work full-time onsite in Selma, CA.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Conduct environmental field audits for Construction General Permit (CGP) compliance and Stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) compliance (field 95%).
  • Prepare field audit inspection reports (office 5%).
  • Conduct SWPPP compliance reporting documentation audits
  • Coordinate with the contractor to document deficiencies and corrective measures.
  • Enter new observations data into the project's database.
  • Assist with file management and document storage.
  • Data tabulation.
  • Permit and contract document review.
  • Work independently on a consistent basis upon receiving training.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of field environmental experience related to infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental studies, or a related field such as biology, ecology, natural resources management, sustainability, etc.
  • 2+ years Managing SWPPP compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and data collection applications.
  • QSP/QSD Certification
  • Experience with construction means and methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of federal, state, and local environmental permits.
  • Proficiency with California Environmental Quality Act/ National Environmental Policy Act (CEQA/NEPA), Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA), California Endangered Species Act (CA ESA), Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MTBA), Master Streambed Alteration Agreement (MSAA), Clean Water Act Section 401 Certification, Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit, and hazardous materials regulations.
  • Experience with sustainability goals, such as reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, water conservation, and recycling and waste management.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $115,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
