Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to find a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant for a 6-month contract opportunity. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds—3 days onsite and 2 days remote—and is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.

Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Position

Staff Accountant

Pay is $40hr-$45hr

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Maintain general ledger and support budgeting activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
• Proficiency in SAP is required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
