Base pay range

$91,400.00/yr - $119,925.00/yr

This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for scope, schedule and budget as well as technical quality of engineering deliverables.
  • Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
  • Provide site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff and discipline leads.
  • Prepare and deliver technical drawings and documentation as part of project deliverables.
  • Produce and coordinate engineering outputs including:
    • Single line diagrams
    • Electrical room layouts
    • Motor control elementaries and connection diagrams
    • Cable tray plans
    • Grounding, embedded conduit and ductbank plans
    • Cable schedules
    • Lighting and power plans
    • Panel schedules

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
  • At least 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience in manufacturing, petrochemical and industrial facilities
  • Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks and/or Revizto
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and able to contribute innovative ideas
  • Ability to learn quickly and broaden your knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, often located in different offices
  • Passionate about buildings and construction

The base salary range for this position is $91,400.00 to $119,925.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education or training.
