You'll build cloud-native, scalable systems that power joyful player experiences at global scale—working closely with designers, client engineers, and product managers to deliver fast, resilient services. You have:

Excellent programming skills in Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot

Experience in object-oriented design methodologies

Experience building high performance and scalable web services

Experience writing automated tests

Experience in building and deploying applications using container-based solutions.

Experience with MySQL or other relational database systems.

Experience building applications using various AWS services

Experience with one or more NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Redis, etc.

Understanding of observability practices—metrics, logging, and tracing using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry

Knowledge of event-driven architectures and tools like Apache Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, or similar

Experience working in an Agile environment

A sense of urgency and ownership over the product

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated experience developing and delivering both consumer facing web based solutions and intranet/extranet type applications for internal users and partners

You may also have:

Passion for games and player-centric design, or prior experience in the gaming industry

Hands-on experience with load testing, profiling, and performance tuning of backend services

Familiarity with feature flagging, A/B testing frameworks, or experimentation platform

Experience with or interest in using Generative AI (GenAI) tools for improving developer productivity.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$193,300 - $289,900 USD
