JOB TITLE: Senior DevOps Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Senior DevOps (Development Operations) Engineer, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of software systems in a secure manner. With a background in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based systems in a secure and auditable manner, the Senior DevOps (Development Operations) Engineer will support our clients digital infrastructure projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure using cloud-native technologies, ensuring adherence to security best practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with embedded security gates to ensure secure deployment processes.
• Automate tasks like infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
• Monitor system performance and security, troubleshoot issues, and implement measures to protect against threats.
• Continually optimize the systems for efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with other members of the Data and IT teams to design and implement secure deployment models and approaches.
• Maintain accurate roadmaps, technical documentation, and incident post-mortems with a focus on security improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years (6+ preferred) of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or a similar roll.
• Proficiency deploying in a cloud environment like AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Python (preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI, with experience integrating security best practices in deployment.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Good understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IAM, encryption, logging, and network security and architecture.
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform and version control systems like Git.
• Must possess the ability to partner collaboratively with internal staff members.
• Bachelor's (Master's or PhD preferred) in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
