Overview

Design Engineer at Anything. This role focuses on owning the frontend of Anything and crafting delightful, performant experiences at the frontier of AI agent UX.

Base pay and compensation

Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr. Compensation range: $125K - $250K.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend experience of Anything, crafting interactions for agent reasoning timelines, visual diffs, and app previews.
• Make logs and arbitrary code logic understandable to non-technical users.
• Support multiplayer real-time collaboration across users and agents on an infinite canvas.
• Ship intuitive experiences for swarms of autonomous software engineers, enabling numerous app variations and intelligent merging of results.

Ideal background

• Strong frontend or product engineer with typically 4-6+ years of experience. Exceptional work can supersede years.
• Deep experience with TypeScript and modern web/mobile frameworks (React, Next, React Native, Expo, WebAssembly).
• At least one of the following:
• Impactful work at a frontend/design-forward company
• Major contributions to a notable open-source project
• Impressive portfolio
• Deep understanding of the DOM and the browser.
• Ability to ship performant, pixel-perfect components.
• Blend engineering with taste in models, design, and product.
• Comfortable working with and without a designer; never compromise on quality and speed.

Extra signal

• Prior experience as a founder or founding engineer.
• Strong production experience with large language models (LLMs).
• Prior experience as a designer.
