We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of software systems for autonomous aerial suppression. You'll work cross-functionally with hardware engineers and other team members to deliver robust and reliable solutions for firefighters.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
3–5+ years of professional experience in embedded software design and development
Demonstrated competency in Object Oriented Programming with experience in multi-layered system architecture
Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded and robotics applications
Hands‑on experience with ROS/ROS2 and real‑time operating systems
Solid understanding of computer vision techniques (OpenCV, SLAM, or related)
Experience with hardware/software integration and low‑level drivers
Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills
Background in aerospace, UAVs, or safety‑critical systems
Experience with physics‑based simulation engines (e.g., Gazebo, Unity, MuJoCo) and NVIDIA Jetson embedded computers
Familiarity with AI‑driven perception, planning, or decision‑making algorithms
