About the Opportunity

We're seeking a motivated Project Engineer with a solid background in mechanical construction to join our team in Fremont. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys being directly involved in delivering high-quality mechanical systems for complex commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, coordination, and scheduling across multiple HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects.
  • Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders to ensure accuracy and timely communication.
  • Support material procurement, fabrication, and delivery logistics to maintain project progress.
  • Collaborate with field foremen and superintendents to ensure quality installations and adherence to design intent.
  • Monitor and report on project costs, budgets, and progress to help maintain profitability and timelines.
  • Interface with clients, general contractors, and design teams to resolve challenges and maintain strong relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working for a mechanical subcontractor on HVAC, piping, or plumbing projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, and field coordination.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project/Excel preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
