Agentic AI, Software Engineer (Offensive Security)


We're partnered with an established, well-funded security innovator building a next-generation AI-driven offensive security platform. The team operates like a startup within a larger organization and is scaling prototypes that already have strong enterprise interest.


This is a rare opportunity to join early, take true ownership of agentic AI systems in production, and shape how security teams leverage autonomous workflows.


What you'll do



  • Design, build, and ship production-grade AI agents (reasoning, planning, tool invocation, multi-step orchestration).

  • Turn R&D prototypes into reliable services: instrumentation, evaluation, monitoring, and iteration.

  • Integrate agents with real tools and data sources.

  • Collaborate closely with security engineers and product to prioritize high-impact automations.

  • Own architecture decisions end-to-end; move quickly from idea → demo → production.


Requirements



  • Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems beyond demos (planning, memory, tool use, error recovery).

  • Fluency with at least one orchestration framework (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or similar).

  • Security domain familiarity is a plus (pentesting/red teaming concepts), but not required.

  • San Francisco preferred


Compensation


$250k — $325k base salary, plus meaningful equity and benefits. Senior/principal IC scope with high autonomy and visibility.
