Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

The Role:

As our Accounting Manager you will be a key player in our finance function, responsible for the full scope of the monthly financial close. You will own the accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.

What You'll Do

• Financial Close: Own the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries, completing balance sheet reconciliations (bank, credit card, etc.), and conducting variance analysis to ensure the accuracy of financial data
• Accounts Receivable (A/R): Manage the entire A/R cycle, from generating customer invoices and tracking billings to applying payments and performing collections on past-due accounts
• Accounts Payable (A/P): Oversee the A/P process, including processing vendor invoices, scheduling payments, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring proper coding of all expenses
• Reporting of Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for management review
• Collaboration: Serve as the main point of contact for our external bookkeeping firm, providing them with the necessary information and documentation to finalize monthly reports
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years at a public accounting firm
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting experience with standards such ASC 606
• CPA license active within the last 10 years
• 4+ years of relevant experience in a corporate accounting role at a technology company, preferably within the B2B SaaS industry
• Proven experience managing the month-end close, A/R, and A/P functions
• Fluency in enterprise-grade accounting ERP such as NetSuite
• High proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite), Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables)
• Familiarity with platforms like Bill.com, Brex, and other AP solutions
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously
• Ability to conduct an internal audit of our accounting processes
• Experience with preparing for and managing an external audit

Nice To Have

• Experience managing a migration from Quickbooks to an enterprise-grade ERP
• Experience working in the SaaS or AI-enabled technology industry
• Prior experience collaborating with external accounting or bookkeeping firms
• Experience or desire to be a people manager
