Overview

SystemsAccountants is partnering with a tech startup in San Mateo, CA to place an Accounting Manager. This will be their first accounting hire. You would report directly to the Head of Finance, who will build a team around your skillset, and you will work closely with the C-Suite.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to get into the weeds and wear a lot of hats
• 2-3 years of experience at a SaaS company or similar preferred
• Experience dealing with external accounting firms, ideally transitioning accounting operations in-house
• CPA preferred
• Big Four accounting experience preferred
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred; otherwise, experience participating in major ERP/finance transformation

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first dedicated accounting hire, partnering with the Head of Finance to shape and build the accounting function
• Collaborate with the C-Suite and external stakeholders as needed
