Come help us automate enterprise accounting with AI!

At Maxima, we are solving one of the most challenging problems: enabling AI to account for millions of financial transactions with zero errors. We are building complex data processing engines, agentic infrastructures, and workflow orchestration to achieve this goal.

We are just over 1 year old, already working with customers like Scale AI, Rippling, and BILT Rewards.

The engineering team is tight knit and seasoned. There are staff engineers from Google, Meta, and Robinhood. They also have cool backgrounds like quant, chess master, game maker, and rubik's cube record holder – we like people who are passionate about stuff.

Maxima is extremely well-funded from tier-one VCs (announcement coming soon), and scaling fast across sales and product.

Responsibilities

There is a huge backlog of items we want to build and improve across frontend, backend, AI, infra, devops, and tooling.

We are a flat organization – if you take initiative, you will become an owner in the areas above. Engineers can even own products and customer accounts.

What we are looking for

• Experience with web application development (we use Go NextJS)
• Familiarity working with relational databases
• AI, accounting, and fintech experience is a plus
• Very strong emphasis on code quality and attention to details
• We also really value people who are proactive and curious
