LOCATION:
- Position is on-site based out of our Walnut Creek property. 
 
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS- Ensure that all financial data is following the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 
  - Assist Corporate Controller with effective month end close process including process improvements, meeting close deadlines, preparing month end journal entries and account reconciliations. 
 - Maintain fixed asset processes, invoices, and records. 
 - Assist with revenue recognition, and timely reporting of hotel revenue. 
 - Assist in developing procedures and related documentation to ensure all general ledger activity is maintained in accordance with GAAP. 
 - Assist with financial reporting process including verification of amounts reported, variance analysis, and reporting tie-outs. 
  - Experience working with auditors, provide supporting documents to external auditors and ensure timely completion. 
 - Provide support for daily operations of other finance areas (tax, treasury, revenue accounting, hotel, payroll, financial planning and analysis). 
  
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  - 3-5 years of accounting experience in general accounting. 
 - Knowledge and experience in general accounting (GAAP), monthly closing process including reconciliations, and audit facilitation. 
  - Thorough knowledge of GAAP and reporting requirements. 
  - Strong self-starter with strong organization skills who is comfortable working both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team. 
  - Excellent Excel skills, including the ability to create formulas & schedules. 
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with extremely strong analytic ability. 
 - Track record of implementing scalable processes in a company. 
 - Must be very hands on but also have the experience to be involved with Senior Management daily and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  - Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
