Job Details

We're looking for a seasoned frontend engineer who is looking for a high degree of product ownership building Tako's frontend and visualization systems. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced start up environment where rapid iteration is the name of the game. You will be a key member of Tako's early engineering team and will have a massive impact on our mission to visualize the world's knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of highly scalable and flexible front end systems that will power a variety of Tako user experiences across web and mobile applications
• Be willing to talk directly with customers to develop a deep understanding of their use cases for Tako and design products to solve for them
• Collaborate with backend/data engineers to think holistically about how we present the world's knowledge and data to users
• Ensure that Tako's frontend applications are designed for speed and reliability at scale
• Contribute to engineering velocity by making a front end system that are flexible and can support the addition of a large number of new features and visualizations

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies
• A desire to build and own a visualization-heavy frontend
• A mastery of JavaScript/Typescript, React/Vue, and other web technologies
• Some familiarity with backend languages and frameworks is a plus (we're using Python & Django)
