About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer – Infrastructure to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in working with our world‑class cross‑functional team to help develop and build the world's most advanced robotic systems for the world's biggest robotics opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Write and test code for our simulation and data infrastructure systems.
  • Create data infrastructure for robotics data ingestion, processing for analytics, visualization, and MLOps purposes, and multi‑robot simulation.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (style guidelines, code quality, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on product or program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing root causes and impacts on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with relevant programming languages such as Rust, Golang, Python, or C++.
  • Experience simulating autonomous systems, robotics, or other highly complex systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong understanding of database systems such as Postgres and ScyllaDB.
  • Strong understanding of writing unit and integration tests.
  • Strong understanding of lower‑level operating systems (Linux).
  • Knowledge of computer networking.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Rust programming language.
  • Experience with data engineering technologies such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow, Parquet, Arrow, or similar.

Salary $250,000 – $280,000 a year (base). We also offer generous equity.
