Our client is a fast-growing AI startup backed by top-tier investors, building state-of-the-art solutions for unstructured data processing. Their technology transforms complex documents-such as PDFs, spreadsheets, and financial reports-into large language model (LLM)-ready data with unparalleled accuracy.
Hundreds of companies, from high-growth startups to Fortune 10 enterprises, already rely on their platform to process tens of millions of documents each month. As part of the founding engineering team, you'll help shape the core infrastructure powering next-generation enterprise AI.
What You Will Do

• Design, train, and deploy advanced machine learning models to parse and interpret unstructured data.
• Experiment with novel techniques to push the boundaries of document AI and LLM accuracy.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, evaluate model performance, and integrate results into production systems.
• Work directly with founders and customers to shape product direction and engineering strategy.
• Develop internal tools (e.g., quick apps or datasets) to test hypotheses and accelerate experimentation.

• 2-5 years of professional experience in training, fine-tuning, and evaluating machine learning models in production.
• Strong coding ability in Python (or similar), with hands-on experience building and deploying ML pipelines.
• Familiarity with computer vision, vision-language models (VLMs), and modern large language models.
• Demonstrated success in bridging ML research with production-grade engineering.
• Comfortable with end-to-end development: ideation, prototyping, iteration, and deployment.
• Strong quantitative mindset with a passion for accuracy and continuous improvement.

• Experience building products in early-stage startups or fast-paced environments.
• Contributions to open-source ML projects or active participation in hackathons.
• Previous work in high-stakes domains (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline from a top-tier institution.
• Passion for staying current with the latest ML/AI research developments.

• Base Salary: $150K - $240K
• Equity: 0.10% - 1.00% ownership potential
