We're looking for a Manager, Revenue Systems and Operations to join Snap Inc. As a member of the team, you will work with various cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, build pipelines and drive the automation roadmap for revenue accounting.
Responsibilities
- Direct and prioritize team activities, managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Collaborate with Data/Payments Engineering to maintain existing revenue accounting pipelines and establish data integrity checks for report completeness and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to clarify upstream data sources for key reports, ensuring regular review and validation of pipeline logic and assumptions by end‑users.
- Engage cross‑functionally with business partners to understand new product launches and updates to existing offerings.
- Facilitate requirements drafting and user acceptance testing for new or enhanced revenue reports, necessary for incorporating new revenue and/or payout transactions into month‑end close.
- Construct datasets and reporting tools to support Revenue Accounting, enabling efficient data access and leverage for automation initiatives.
- Evaluate month‑end close processes to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities, determining appropriate solutions based on priority and available resources.
- Provide support for external financial statement audits concerning data pipelines and key reports.
- Offer support for various ad‑hoc analyses and data reporting projects as required.
- Formulate a long‑term automation roadmap for revenue accounting.
- Identify and mitigate risks, drive process enhancements, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation and evidence in accordance with SOX regulations.
- Assist with external financial statement audits and periodic internal audits.
- Provide support for other ad‑hoc analyses and projects as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with an understanding of US GAAP and ability to document accounting conclusions.
- Ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including Excel.
- Strong understanding of data principles and how to build our reporting pipelines.
- A proactive, self‑directed approach with the ability to multi‑task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with a high sense of urgency.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Someone who is flexible, eager, and willing to build from the ground up.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience.
- 6+ years of experience as an accounting professional.
- 2+ years managing a team.
- Knowledge or experience in data engineering, building data flows and reporting pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 firm experience.
- Fortune 500 and/or private company experience.
- Experience working in cloud finance systems (Oracle, etc.).
- 3+ years with a focus on Revenue Recognition.
- CPA License Preferred.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The starting pay will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): Base salary range $173,000‑$259,000 annually.
Zone B: Base salary range $164,000‑$246,000 annually.
Zone C: Base salary range $147,000‑$220,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
