We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Billing Infrastructure Engineer to support our billing and payments infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with system design, integration, and maintenance. You will work with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and optimize systems, ensuring they meet our business and technical requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage server environments and system infrastructure for business‑critical Billing applications.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party payment service providers (e.g. Stripe) to ensure system compatibility and performance optimization.
  • Manage databases and data pipelines for robust reporting, experimentation, and data transparency.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure system security through appropriate configurations, monitoring, and updates.
  • Maintain and enhance the scalability and redundancy of systems.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of systems.
  • Maintain documentation related to systems configurations and procedures.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in system architecture.
  • Participate in on‑call support rotations for system related incidents.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5 years) in a Systems Engineering or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of system administration and infrastructure, including operating systems (e.g. Linux), networking, and cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud).
  • Experience with database administration (Postgres & MongoDB) and optimization.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
