As a Security IT Specialist located in San Francisco, CA, you will provide technical, security, and system administrative support for Shipt computer endpoints, primary communication systems, and enterprise security platforms. Each day you will work closely with your team to manage support ticket requests, provide technical assistance, and evaluate and recommend system changes to further automate and reduce technical blockers.
While no two days are the same, you will be responsible for managing common SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft 365. You will configure and maintain MDM systems, such as JAMF, to ensure team members' devices are secure, monitored according to cybersecurity best practices, and can safely access internal networks. Manage Shipt's Apple/Mac laptop inventory, ensuring all team members have necessary hardware, devices are tracked and assigned accurately, shipped to new members, and recovered from separated employees.
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office. In‑office expectations will vary by role and leader, and certain roles may require in‑office presence on a full‑time basis.
