Integration and Solutions Architect

Apps Solution Architecture

Full Time

Location: San Francisco, CA | Owens Street, Parnassus Heights (SF)

Job Summary

This position is considered Flexible Rotation: The employee will work on a rotational schedule to ensure on-site coverage of key IT functions. It is also a limited appointment of full-time employment for two years. This role will be expected to work onsite at least 3 days per week.

As the Solutions Architect on the Helen Diller Hospital (HDH) project, you will be the front line of creating the next generation of healthcare delivery. This role involves conceptualization, planning, designing and implementing complete and integrated information technology (IT) solutions for the new Helen Diller Hospital at Parnassus Heights. You will help establish IT conceptual architecture that is time independent but allows for implementation of specific technologies over time with the ability to smoothly transition technology changes. You will understand and coordinate with HDH and IT team members, and other operational partners, and understand various IT technology standards, best practices and strategies for infrastructure growth. You will define and prioritize opportunities to test new technologies and workflows that can be deployed in existing hospitals prior to the opening of the HDH.

As a key member of the multi-disciplinary UCSF Health IT team, you will facilitate the creation of future state workflow and service designs. This role involves hands-on development work in other systems, and the architect will define business and technical architectures for digital enablement of health care needs, within the new hospital and enterprise as a whole. It requires a deep understanding of health care business capabilities, stakeholder experiences and journeys, and technology architectures to identify and evaluate digital technologies including integrations.

To ensure a successful opening, the UCSF HDH IT Working Committee will define and prioritize opportunities to test new technologies and workflows that can be deployed earlier in existing hospitals. Through this continuous learning approach, you will help prepare frontline staff and operations, and design for patients and families a seamless care experience between UCSF Health and partner care facilities, as well as pre- and post-procedure at home.

Compensation

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
