Senior Boiler Technician (San Francisco Metro)

We're seeking a Senior Boiler Technician in San Francisco Metro to keep high-pressure steam systems running safely, efficiently, and without interruption.

Impact

• Maintain safe operations through strict safety protocols.
• Deliver steady, reliable steam to support building systems.
• Improve performance through combustion tuning and system optimization.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, emissions, and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers and support systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on burners, pumps, and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
• Tune combustion systems for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Log system performance and maintenance activity.
• Manage boiler water chemistry and scheduled blowdowns.
• Follow LOTO, OSHA, and all applicable safety procedures.
• Support certification inspections and contractor coordination.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with high-pressure steam boilers (Cleaver-Brooks, Miura, Raypak, Babcock & Wilcox).
• Deep knowledge of boiler controls, combustion systems, and ASME code.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Technical training in HVAC or mechanical systems.
• Experience with building automation or boiler management systems.
