ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Propel Software. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality software solutions while mentoring junior team members and contributing to architectural decisions. This role requires you to leverage the Salesforce platform to be successful.

TECH STACK

Propel Engineers use VS Code, Apex, Java, JavaScript, Windsurf, Node.js, and Jest unit tests.

In this role you can expect to:

• Design and implement code at least 75% of the time.


• Partner with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.


• Optimize system architecture for performance, scalability, and security.


• Mentor junior developers and serve as a subject matter expert on Engineering best practices.


• Stay current on the latest Enterprise technologies including Salesforce, AI, and industry trends.


• Become the subject matter expert in developing on the Salesforce platform.


• Work with Enterprise scale data and solve complex customer issues.

To be successful in this role you bring:

• 8+ years of Enterprise software development experience


• 5+ years development experience focused on Salesforce Lightning (preferred) or Oracle Fusion, SAP, Azure PowerApps, NetSuite.


• Proven track record of Enterprise product development at scale on one or more of the listed platforms above.


• Strong expertise in one or more of the following: Java, C#, Apex, JavaScript, LWC, SQL/SOQL.


• Experience developing integrations with Enterprise business systems.


• Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, CircleCI).


• Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to architect and implement complex solutions.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred but not required:

• Ability to effectively leverage AI‑powered coding tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, or similar AI code assistants to enhance coding efficiency and improve code quality


• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect).

$150,000 - $180,000 a year

Please note the salary range shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. In addition to the base pay noted above, this position also offers participation in the company bonus program which is paid out based on company performance.
