The AHD Phlebotomist, under direction, follows written and verbal instructions. Draws blood from patients in hospital, or obtains other required samples, for analysis or other medical purposes. Interacts with departments throughout hospital, as well as patients and physicians. Must be able to perform routine duties without immediate supervision. Performs related duties as required.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum Experience: Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Certification/Licenses: Valid California Phlebotomy Certificate.
PAY RANGE: $38.27 - $49.94/HR
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidates experience, education, skills, licenses and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
