We're backed by global marketing and customer experience leaders, and founders who've scaled companies across data and marketing technology. Now, we're looking for a Head of AI Engineering & Personalisation to help us build, scale, and lead the systems behind this new frontier.

Role Overview

As the Head of AI Engineering & Personalisation, you'll lead Codax AI vision from research to real-world impact. You'll architect large-scale systems that bring reasoning, experimentation, and agentic orchestration together transforming how personalisation is delivered across digital ecosystems.

You'll build and scale an elite AI team, define the technical roadmap, and translate our product vision into high-performing, production-grade AI systems capable of serving millions of real-time personalised interactions.

What You'll Do
  • Architect and own Doppel's AI stack — from LLMs and reinforcement learning to vector search and agentic reasoning frameworks.
  • Build and lead a high-performing AI/ML engineering team and establish Codax's AI Center of Excellence.
  • Develop real-time personalisation and experimentation pipelines that evolve continuously through simulation data.
  • Design and implement robust MLOps/LLMOps systems for scalable model deployment, versioning, and monitoring.
  • Partner with Product and Executive teams to align technical roadmaps with growth and customer impact.
  • Ship rapidly, moving from prototype to production with disciplined iteration and measurable business outcomes.
  • Mentor, coach, and grow top technical talent in the Bay Area and globally.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML and software engineering with a track record of scaling AI systems 0→1.
  • 5+ years in technical leadership or management (teams of 10+ including managers).
  • Deep hands-on expertise in LLMs, GenAI, Reinforcement Learning, and Multi-Agent Systems.
  • Advanced experience building real-time personalization or recommendation systems.
  • Proficiency with GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub) or equivalent cloud stacks.
  • Strong coding background in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and distributed systems.
  • Experience shipping AI solutions that drive measurable ROI, engagement, or retention.
