Job Description

The Project Manager is the key person fully responsible for the coordination and management of a project from award to close‑out. The role aligns with DHRG's mission, vision, core values, leadership competencies, and norms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and be accountable for all day‑to‑day operations and communication to ensure timely completion within budget (60%).
  • Ensure timely initialization and completion of Contract Routing Process.
  • Participate in Post‑Award to fully understand the project and delegate necessary tasks.
  • Delegate buy‑out of subcontractors and materials and hold accountable for deliverables.
  • Delegate tasks that correspond to Operations, Project Engineering, Administration, and Accounting.
  • Initiate Preconstruction meetings.
  • Lead weekly project coordination sessions.
  • Oversee project close‑out.
  • Conduct post‑construction meetings.

Cost Management (25%)

  • Manage variance reports.
  • Approve invoices.
  • Manage change orders.
  • Handle billing.
  • Produce reporting.
  • Forecast revenue.

Client Relationships (5%)

  • Outreach and communication with clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships.

Personal Development (5%)

  • Negotiation skills.
  • Leadership—initiative, delegation.
  • Accountability.
  • Improve personal effectiveness/productivity.

Team Development (5%)

  • Develop and mentor departmental peers.

Education

  • Degree in Construction Management.
  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Higher National Diploma or Higher National Certificate.

Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Project Management.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the Concrete Construction field.
  • Contract language review and analysis.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understand scheduling software.
  • Forecast monthly revenue.
  • Develop estimates for change order work.
  • Analyze variance reports for cost controls.

Languages

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; bilingual preferred.
