Team

SoFi's Credit team manages credit risk activities for our lending products. The Senior Credit Manager will work in this team, analyzing data to develop and propose credit risk strategies for Personal Loan, Student Loan Refinance, Private Student Loan, and Credit Card.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate and build algorithmic risk strategies for credit underwriting.
  • Conduct deep data analysis to power lending decisions with real‑time data ecosystems.
  • Iteratively test and learn to improve risk strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners across Business, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal and Compliance.
  • Control risk and drive performance outcomes; monitor and report on strategy portfolio performance.
  • Challenge the status quo and build better processes.
  • Lead growth and inspire future leaders.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related experience.
  • Business acumen in consumer lending (loans or credit cards).
  • Direct experience in credit strategy analytical life cycle.
  • Proven analytical skills using performance data, bureau attributes, and third‑party variables.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL and Python.
  • Strong ability to synthesize and communicate analysis to stakeholders.
  • Results‑driven, collaborative, and eager to learn.
  • Knowledge of decision trees, regression, logistic regression, test design.
  • Preferred: 7+ years personal loan credit risk experience.
  • Preferred: Experience developing strategies with alternative data sources.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD).

Compensation And Benefits

The base pay range for this role is above. Final offer will be based on individual factors.
